Irvine Rotary was proud to greet its new president, Lucy Walther. Lucy has been a Financial Advisor with Edward Jones for 14 years and handles financial planning and investment management for business owners, executives and retirees. She was also the 2004 Irvine Citizen of the Year. As a member of Irvine Rotary, Lucy has already proven that she is person that knows how to make things happen for the club. We look forward to her leadership and enthusiasm in the coming year.

Lucy began her year by receiving her new Presidential Pin from past president, Mark Brubaker and also receiving a Paul Harris Pin for her generous donations to the international fund for Rotary.

Lucy provided the Irvine Spectrum Rotary Club banner to visiting Rotarian, Paul Hsu, who was a member of Rotary in his native country, Taiwan. Paul, who has moved to California, is the owner of Zyllion located at the Hutton Center, a company that markets innovative massage products.

Lucy welcomed her new Irvine Rotary Board and discussed the goals for the year for each Board Member and their respective committees. Members of Rotary help and support the club by donating their time in various areas, such as community service, international service, vocational service, among others. Lucy, along with Rotary District Governor Jim Lohrman and his wife, Cruse, will be formally introducing the new board members at the July 25, 2012 club meeting.
